Brittany Brannon (voiceover): Tonight, one of our beloved couples will be shown the chimney on this shortened Christmas Eve episode (more clips shown). With all of the presents that were handed out Monday, how will it end tonight? LIVE! This is Dancing with the Stars!
Brittany: Hello, and Welcome to Dancing with the Stars! I'm Brittany Brannon.
Kendall: And I'm Kendall Schmidt.
Brittany: Well, it's Christmas Eve, and tonight we have to say goodbye to one more star. We know this is the saddest possible night to eliminate someone, but at least that person won't have to worry about training during Christmas Day or New Years!
Kendall: Ah! Some elimination benefits! Also, we have very special Christmas treat on it's way for you guys!
Brittany: It's really gonna please everyone, we promise! Right away, let's get to the encore performance!
Len: Well, this week sure has been a festive surprise. Everyone's dancing way great. We, as judges, couldn't be prouder of the couples. One dance, imparticular, stood out as the best to us. That dance would be the Paso Doble performed by Julia and Maksim (audience cheers)!
Brittany: Finally, the first couple to receive their second encore performance are Julia and Maksim! Please welcome them back with their Paso Doble (cheering continues)!
Julia is in a white Paso outfit with a cape. Maksim is in a white vest shirt and pants. The pair dance to "Carol Of The Bells" by David Foster. Once finished, the audience gives them a Standing O.
Brittany: Great job, indeed! Now, Julia's Paso wasn't the only highlight from Week 8. We also saw each of our remaining six couples dance twice to the tune of a Christmas classic. The heat was added when the stars did not even know what their second dance was until 45 minutes before they had to perform it!
Kendall: Now, if you didn't catch our episode this week, here's a little montage of what you missed out on. Take a look...
A montage/recap of all of the dances from Week 8 are played. A leaderboard recap is also played. Confessionals start playing (with each couple after their second dance).
Eva: I'm in such a Christmasy mood. I'm gonna buy you a bunch of fruitcake, okay Alec (Alec laughs)?
Julia: Somehow, I just managed to release the inner bull... for a Christmas dance! It just makes no sense! Haha!
Hayden: It's been Waltzes all week! I want something funner next week!
Betty: (still shocked) Well... We just got our first 10 of the season. Holy crap, it's a Christmas miracle (audience laughs)!
Emma: This has been such a great way to bounce back from losing all of our points last week! I hope next week is just as fun.
Gabrielle: This has been the perfect Christmas present. I love dancing on this show. Yay (Gabrielle quietly cheers)!
Confessionals end
Brittany: We want to take a minute and remind you that you only have one more week to sign up for the Season 6 Guest Judge Contest. Just answer all 18 questions correctly and you could see yourself in the judge's seat next season! The link is: http://dwtsgame5.weebly.com/vote.html
Kendall: Now, in no apparent order, let's reveal the first two couples who have been saved to dance in the quarter-finals with the help of your votes, and one that has landed in the bottom-two.
Dramatic elimination theme music plays
Brittany: The first couple safe to dance next week is... (camera pan the couples) ...Betty and Corky! (cheers; Betty chuckles)
Kendall: The next couple safe to dance is... (camera pans couples) ...Julia and Maksim! (cheers; Julia hugs Maksim)
Brittany: Now, let's reveal the first couple in the bottom-two. That couple is... (camera pans couples) ...Gabrielle and Tony. (boos; Gabrielle smiles)
Regular lighting returns
Kendall: Really, we do! Right now, we want to have our current contestants analyzed by the best critics we could find.
Brittany: But since they weren't available, we have Richard Petty, Daunte Culpepper, and Head Judge Len Goodman (audience laughs)!
Kendall: Welcome them here with our second edition of DanceCenter (audience cheers)!
VT starts with Richard, Daunte, and Len sitting around a judge's table with the DanceCenter logo. Daunte is dressed as an elf, Richard is completely decked out as Santa Claus, and Len is in his standard suit, along with a Santa hat.
Richard Petty: Ho-ho-ho and welcome to this edition of DanceCenter. I'm NASCAR driver and Season 20 contestant, Richard Petty, A.K.A. Santa Claus!
Daunte Culpepper: And I'm Season 45's third-placer and NFL Quarterback, Daunte Culpepper.
Len: And I'm Len Goodman, the craziet old man you've ever seen (Len makes a rapper sign, audience laughs).
Daunte: Go Len! Now rap for us!
Len: I'm going to say no this time, but maybe in a million and two years. Let's get started!
Daunte: I see how it is, Len! Our first contestant is the fiercest fireball to set foot on the dancefloor this season. No, we're not talking about The Human Torch. We're talking about actress Emma Stone! Emma has been a real improvement over the entire season. She really lit up the floor in Week 1 with her hot Cha-Cha-Cha, and ever since then, she's been like a forest fire, trailblazing her way to where she is now!
Richard: She sure is a little ball of sunshine! She knows how to have fun, she knows how to get serious, and she seriously is just as hot as the sun! She's one red hot mama.
Len: My goodness... How many ridiculous puns about her red hair can you two make?
Richard: (pulls out a thick book) Oh Len, you haven't even heard one page of it!
Len: I'd rather not hear the rest anyways! Moving on. What Emma needs to learn is that she is a good dancer. Her confidence is a little shaky and it is hindering her ability to perform to the best of her abilities. Emma: just believe in yourself and I can see you get a perfect 40 very soon!
Daunte: Hinder? Len, please stop talking like a viking! Next up, we have every girl's favorite evil space emperor/terror, Hayden Christensen. This dude has got it going. He's been doing well all season, and has only slipped up once!
Richard: Well, Donny, if the judge's kept giving him bad scores, I'm sure he'd force-choke the crap outta them. We don't want that happening!
Len: I don't really care if he tries to, seeing as it's impossible.
Richard: Nah uh. Watch (with the help of special effects, Richard pretends to force-choke Daunte, who pretends to fall unconscious on the table)!
Len: I'll give you credit, that was a very entertaining waste of money. Now, what makes Hayden a good dancer is his committment to the dance. He takes each dance given and puts 100% into it. He's transformed into quite the dancer.
Daunte: Eh, he's decent, but nowhere near as good as me! Next up is the definition of sexy, Ms. Eva Mendes. Now, Len, I have no clue how you could even score Eva's dances. I couldn't pay attention to her dancing just because she is so amazingly beautiful. It must be a hard job!
Richard: She's just like a goddess, sent from above to dance her heart out on this show. My, my, she's gorgeous! I'd hate to be the guy to give her a 7 for a dance... Oh wait, Len. You've done that before!
Len: Yes, but that was her first dance ever. I had reason to give her so! But she has improved very much since then. For me, she hasn't been perfect yet, but when she fully gets her footwork mastered, then I'll be a happy camper!
Daunte: Do us a favor when you go camping, Len. Never come back. Anyways, next up is the prettiest prostitute-turned-actress-turned-Oscar-winner ever. We're talking about Vivian Ward! She has just been so much fun to watch this season, but I'm waiting for her to get into something a lot smaller than the dresses she's been wearing!
Richard: Me too! I mean, what gives? Why can't we get a little eye-candy from that spicy mamacita?
Len: (disgusted look) You two are plum stupid, sometimes! She is not Vivian Ward, she is Julia Roberts... who played prostitute Vivian Ward in the movie Pretty Woman. Can you two really be this dumb?
Daunte: Apparently so, Len.
Len: (shakes head) Well, what Julia needs to do to become a perfect dancer is just loosen up. She tends to let her nerves get the best of her, which makes her moves very tiny and timid at times. She needs to let her inner beast out and shake that ass (audience laughs hysterically)!
Daunte: Naughty Len! Now we know what list Santa put you on! Next up is the most remarkable woman of the season, Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords! She has truly been an inspiration to everyone! I can't wait to see her make the finals.
Richard: I sure as heck hope she does, too! I tear up every time I watch her Waltz from five weeks ago. She has been amazing to watch. I don't think I've ever been this proud of a contestant since myself.
Len: For once, I agree with the two of you. Gabrielle Giffords's dancing journey has been nothing less than spectacular. And to add to it: she dances beautifully. I am so glad that she is a cast member this season!
Daunte: Finally, we all agree on something! And last but not least, we come to the hippest old lady you'll ever lay eyes on, Betty White! I tell you, I thought Betty'd do badly this season, and she has. Yet, she's still here! I'm amazed!
Richard: Man, I tell ya, if every woman was like Betty White, the world'd be a lot slower place. Regardless, you gotta love that woman and the entertainment she brings to this show, right Len?
Len: Yes, Richard, right. Betty sure does bring entertainment to the show, but what Betty really shines on is effort. She gives about 1,000% effort every week, and on some rare occasions it pays off. If I could score her for effort alone, she'd be getting tons of 10's.
Richard: But sadly, it ain't!
Daunte: Nope! And so, there you are. All 6 of the stars, personally analyzed by us professionals. Who will win it? Who knows? Who cares? Find out! The answer may be shocking! Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and Happy Valentine's Day! Back to you guys!
Kendall: The next couple safe to dance next week is... (camera pans couples) ...Hayden and Julianne! (cheers; Julianne hugs Hayden)
Brittany: Now, as you can see, we have 2 couples left up here, 2 spots left in the competition, and 1 spot left in the bottom-two. We will now call the name of the last couple that is safe from elimination and safe for the quarter-finals. And they are... (camera pans Eva and Emma) ...Emma and Mark! (cheers; Emma hugs Mark)
Kendall: Which means Eva and Alec will join Gabrielle and Tony in this week's bottom-two. (audience boos; Eva is worried)
Kendall: I know, Brittany! Now, to use up a little time before we announce which couple is sadly going home, we though we'd take a little time to warm your hearts with a new video. Take a look!
VT starts. We get an introduction from Brittany saying that on Thursday, the hosts, the judges, and the couples from Week 8 all took time to visit children at Toys-for-Tots, delivering many toys and spending time with the lesser fortunate children. We see clips of Hayden, Mark, and Kendall being idolized by many young girls. Eva, Carrie Ann and Emma are shown giving girls make-overs. Brittany brings her Miss Arizona USA sash and crown to let the girls try on. The children and staff are shown just being in awe of Gabrielle's presence. To top things off, Betty graciously dressed up as Santa Claus and read stories to the boys and girls for a while. At the end, all of the stars said it was a once in a lifetime experience that they were honored to be a part of.
Brittany: It was so heartwarming to even get to visit them! I hope we do that again next year!
Kendall: Me too! Now, before we eliminate either Gabrielle or Eva, we want to go to our judge's panel to see what they think.
Brittany: Carrie Ann, what would you think if Gabrielle were to leave us?
Carrie: Oh, I don't even want to think about the show without Gabrielle. She has showed us that no matter the circumstance, you can overcome any obstacle you think possible. Gabrielle has truly changed us all (cheers; Gabrielle smiles slightly).
Kendall: Valerie, what if Eva were to leave?
Bruno: Oh man, if Eva were to leave, we'd lose the greatest asset this season has seen (audience laughs as they believe Bruno said something other than asset)! This is the hardest part of the show. Neither of these women should be leaving, or even in the bottom-two.
Brittany: Sadly, that's how the game's played. Let's find out how America voted this week.
Brittany: Gabrielle and Tony and Eva and Alec have been put in the bottom-two for Christmas week. Let's find out the results.
Dramatic elimination music plays
Kendall: (camera goes to Gabrielle) Gabrielle and Tony. Gabrielle, after your amazing Waltz this week, the judges did not seem to be too excited for your Quickstep. Has this lead to a sad ending for your journey?
Brittany: (camera goes to Eva) Eva and Alec. Eva, neither of your dances this week completely excited the judges. You also saw a slip from tied first last week to second to last this week. Will you even be allowed the chance to try and redeem yourself?
Kendall: (camera pans Gabrielle and Eva) Gabrielle and Tony... Eva and Alec... On this eighth week of competition, the couple with the lowest overall total and therefore leaving right now is...
Elimination music plays and camera pans in
Kendall: Gabrielle and Tony. (audience boos loudly; Gabrielle smiles and hugs Tony tightly)
Brittany: Which means Eva and Alec, you're safe. (quiet cheers, some audience members are heard booing; a tearful Eva and Gabrielle have a long hug goodbye, Alec and Tony also share a quick hug, Gabrielle and Tony walk down to Brittany and Kendall, the audience begins to give Gabrielle a standing O)
Gabrielle: I just want to say thank you. Thank you hosts. Thank you judges. Thank you hair, makeup, clothing, everyone! And thank you to Tony, my angel. This has been so much fun. Thank you (audience begins tearing up and applauds loudly)!
Brittany: I can speak for all of us when I say "You're so very welcome, Gabrielle"! And Tony, how about your final thoughts?
Tony: (choking up) You know, going into this season, I thought I'd just be getting another nice lady to dance with. What I ended up getting was the most remarkable, most incredible, and sincerely amazing woman I'll ever get the honor to meet. It's been an amazing ride and I'm going to miss it so much (Gabrielle and Tony hug)!
Kendall: And I'm Kendall Schmidt. Good night and thanks for watching.
Cast dances gathers around Gabrielle and Tony (Julianne, Julia, Eva, and Emma are all seen crying), credits roll, camera fades out
