Brittany Brannon (voiceover): Tonight, we find out what your votes have done to the results of our show. With so many diverse, amazing, and unexpected scores, are we in for a huge shocker tonight? LIVE! This is Dancing with the Stars!
Brittany: Hello, and Welcome to Dancing with the Stars! I'm Brittany Brannon.
Kendall: And I'm Kendall Schmidt.
Brittany: Tonight, we find out which man and woman will be the first sent home from Season 5. We don't want anyone to go, but sadly, that's how this thing works.
Kendall: That's right! Now, this is the first elimination of the season, and it promises to bring so promising moments. Sean Kingston will be singing twice tonight! We'll also get to see what Valerie thought of all of our couples. Remember, she wasn't here this week (audience cheers jokingly)!
Brittany: Right away, let's get to the encore performance!
Len: Well, all of us had mixed feelings about most of the dances, but we can all agree that this dance was beyond expectations for a Week 1 performance. We want to see the Cha-Cha-Cha performed by Beyoncé and Derek (HUGE applause from audience).
Brittany: Amazing! Please welcome back Beyoncé and Derek (applause continues)!
Beyoncé and Derek dance to "Crazy In Love" by Beyoncé. Beyoncé is in her small black dress, Derek is in his white cut open dress shirt. Once finished they get a Standing O from the audience.
Brittany: I definitely can see her there! Now, Beyoncé's Cha-Cha wasn't the only highlight from our premier week. We also saw 17 other celebrities battle it out for the first time on the dancefloor!
Kendall: Now, if you didn't catch our episodes this week, here's a little montage of what you missed out on. Take a look...
A montage/recap of all of the dances from Week 1 are played. A leaderboard recap is also played. Confessionals start playing.
Danny: (panting) That out there was tougher than filming an action movie!
Anna: I hope the fans can pull us through to next week. I really think I can do a good Samba!
Joel: Awesome! This show is gonna be so much fun! Can't wait to dance next week!
Eva: (excited) Woohoo! Alright! First dance: Right out of the ballpark! Make sure you guys vote!
Bob: All I can say is... There's *bleep* everywhere (audience chuckles, Edyta doesn't laugh)!
Beyoncé: That's an amazin' score! Hope we can keep it up!
Eminem: That was bull-*bleep*! We did way better than that old man gave us credit for. We'll show him!
Julia: Wow! Did I seriously just do that (audience laughs)? If we did, it's a total blank to me now (Julia laughs)!
Hayden: Great first dance. Couldn'tve done it without Julianne, here! Hope we're still around next week to do more.
Denzel: (laughing) Ah, man! If that wasn't just the darnest thing ever... (Cheryl laughs).
Mark: Diabolical feet, huh? They've obviously never seen my father's feet (Liza gasps and laughs; audience laughs).
Cameron: Damn! That was awesome! I want to do a lot more now!
Clint: (chuckling) What the hell have I gotten myself into?
Ryan: Alright, man! Nowhere to go but up from here!
Betty: OK, that foofy dance is over. Bring on the Rumba (Betty makes a sensual face; audience is hysterical).
Debra: (laughing) Let's hope we can do something even more special next week!
Emma: Who was that guy out there (referring to Gavin Henson)? Oh well, he gave us an 8! Can't be too bad!
Gabrielle: It has just been an honor to inspire so many people. I couldn't feel more blessed.
Confessionals end
Brittany: You guys helped shatter our previous acheivements to make this week the most voted on week yet (audience cheers)!
Kendall: Right now, let's reveal the results for the women of our competition.
Dramatic elimination theme music plays
Kendall: The first couple safe to dance next week is... (camera pan the couples) ...Eva and Alec! (cheers; Eva screams)
Brittany: The next couple safe to dance is... (camera pans couples) ...Betty and Corky! (cheers; Betty smiles)
Kendall: Another couple safe to dance is... (camera pans couples) Julia and Maksim! (cheers; Julia hugs Maksim)
Brittany: The fourth couple that's safe is... (camera pans couples) Gabrielle and Tony! (cheers; Gabrielle smiles)
Kendall: The fifth couple that's safe is... (camera pans couples) Beyoncé and Derek! (cheers; Beyoncé hugs Derek)
Brittany: The sixth couple safe to dance is... (camera pans couples) Emma and Mark! (cheers; Emma screams)
Kendall: Now, as you can see, we have 3 couples left up here, 2 spots left in the competition, and 2 spots left in the bottom-two. We will now call the name of the last couple that is safe from elimination and safe for next week. And they are... (camera pans Cameron, Debra, and Anna) ...Cameron and Neil! (cheers; Neil hugs Cameron)
Brittany: Which means Debra and Louis and Anna and Jonathan are the first female bottom-two of the season. We'll find out their fates later. (audience boos; Debra and Anna are both worried)
Regular lighting returns
Brittany: I know! So sad! Right now we have our musical guest here to sing a famous single! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Sean Kingston! (major cheers)
Sean Kingston performs "Eenie Meenie" (without the help of Justin Bieber) while Neil and Chelsie dance to it. When they're done, the audience cannot stop cheering.
Kendall: Don't forget, he'll be back later to sing his biggest hit for us!
Brittany: Right now, let's take a look at or stars pre-season and see how and why they were contacted to do the DWTSGame.
VT plays. We see all 18 of the stars (in dramatic fashion) being contacted to do the DWTSGame. Most of them are skeptical at first, but obviously they all agree to do it! Some are asked why they chose to do it, with Betty White saying "I feel like now is the right time to start dancing, since I'm having my midlife crisis" and Emma Stone saying "I did it because, for just one night, I wanted to feel like a dancer". The VT ends with all of the stars stating that they were glad they took the call.
Eva: It was completely unexpected! I don't consider myself a dancer at all, so to have other people think so is just such an honor for me. I hope I don't let them down.
Kendall: I'm sure you won't. Joel, my man, you knocked it out of the park this week. Were you expecting to do worse, like Cody Simpson did last season?
Joel: I'm still just amazed that I'm even doing this. It's so different from just being a kid growing up in Idaho. It's really cool.
Kendall: It is cool! Ms. Betty White, you delivered such an amazing Foxtrot on Thursday. Do you think you'll possibly be around to provide us an entertaining Freestyle?
Betty: Oh lord, I hope so! I may just be a little old lady, but I'm still one tough *bleep* (audience is hysterical).
Kendall: Well, we all know that now! (laughs) And Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, your dance on Thursday night truly amazed all of us. Is this show really helping you overcome your ordeal?
Gabrielle: Thank you very much. Yes, the show is helping me to not think about the events that have happened this year. It is something fun and relaxing to get to do and I am honored to be a part of it. Thank you. (audience applauds)
Kendall: You're very welcome, ma'am. OK, everyone. Let's head back down to Brittany for some more results!
Kendall: (now with Brittany) The next couple safe is... (camera pans couples) ...Joel and Chelsie! (cheers; Joel hugs Chelsie)
Brittany: The next safe couple is... (camera pans couples) ...Hayden and Julianne! (cheers; Julianne hugs Hayden)
Kendall: Another couple returning next week is... (camera pans couples) ...Denzel and Cheryl! (cheers; Denzel and Cheryl high-five each other)
Brittany: The fifth safe couple is... (camera pans couples) ...Clint and Anna! (cheers; Anna smiles)
Kendall: The next couple safe to dance next week is... (camera pans couples) ...Ryan and Karina! (Karina hugs Ryan)
Brittany: Now, as you can see, we have 3 couples left up here, 2 spots left in the competition, and 2 spots left in the bottom-two. We will now call the name of the last couple that is safe from elimination and safe for next week. And they are... (camera pans Bob, Mark, and Danny) ...Mark and Liza! (cheers; Liza hugs Mark)
Kendall: Which means Bob and Edyta and Danny and Ashly are the first male bottom-two of the season. We'll find out their fates later. (audience boos; Bob and Danny have stern looks)
Regular lighting returns
Sean Kingston sings "Beautiful Girl". Tony and Karina dance to it. The audience cheers loudly for both Tony & Karina and Sean after the song is over.
Brittany: Definitely! Now, if you wondered where our 'interesting' judge, Valerie, was this week, she was preparing for her new talk show, premiering Monday, DWTSGame Talk. But since she wasn't able to be here, we went to her to get her commentary on how Week 1 went.
VT starts. Valerie is shown putting final touches on her new talk show. She has so many celebrities appearing on just the first episode. She tells us it was sad to miss the season premier, but if she were here, she may have done the unthought-of and given Beyoncé a 10. She says everyone is great and can't wait to start judging them in Week 2.
Brittany: First up, the women (Debra and Anna are on stage).
Dramatic elimination music plays
Kendall: (camera goes to Debra) Debra and Louis. Debra, your first dance didn't get the best comments out of our judges, yet your bubbly personality has stayed the same, thankfully. Does America want you back next week?
Brittany: (camera goes to Anna) Anna and Jonathan. Anna, your Jungle-themed Quickstep got a cold review from our judges, who put you guys near the bottom of the leaderboard. Have you been saved by the amount of votes you have?
Kendall: (camera pans Debra and Anna) Debra and Louis... Anna and Jonathan... On this first week of competition, the couple with the lowest overall total and therefore leaving right now is...
Elimination music plays and camera pans in
Kendall: Anna and Jonathan. (audience boos)
Brittany: Which means Debra and Louis, you're safe! (audience quietly cheers; Anna and Debra hug goodbye, Louis and Jonathan shake hands)
Brittany: The time has come to eliminate our first man (Bob and Danny are on stage).
Dramatic elimination music plays
Kendall: (camera goes to Bob) Bob and Edyta. Bob, your awkward attempt at a Quickstep received bottom remarks from all of our judges. This landed you at the bottom of our leaderboard for the week. But, has America given you another chance?
Brittany: (camera goes to Danny) Danny and Ashly. Danny, your groovy start to the season wasn't praised by the judges. Len even gave you a 4. Even with these scores, will you be back to dance next week?
Kendall: (camera pans Bob and Danny) Bob and Edyta... Danny and Ashly... On this first week of competition, the couple with the lowest overall total and therefore leaving right now is...
Elimination music plays and camera pans in
Kendall: Bob and Edyta. (audience boos)
Brittany: Which means Danny and Ashly, you're safe! (audience quietly cheers; Bob and Danny shake hands, Edyta and Ashly hug goodbye)
Brittany: Bob, sorry that you're the first man to be sent home. Are you sad you didn't get to do another dance?
Bob: Not really. I know I'm terrible, so I didn't think I'd last very long.
Kendall: Edyta, are you upset?
Edyta: I am upset, a little. I mean, we never got a chance to improve. That's all that upsets me. I was really looking forward into turning him into a dancer.
Brittany: Anna, how about you? Are you upset?
Anna: No, I'm not upset either. This is a public show. It's up to them to decide who stays and who goes. If they don't want me, then who am I to get upset about it?
Kendall: Jonathan, you seem a little upset. Did you think you'd do better?
Jonathan: I agree with Edyta. It stinks being the first voted off because that means you didn't even get a chance to improve. That kind of makes me sad.
Kendall: Well, the good news is: you came, you tried, and you danced! And the audience loved you both. Congratulations on giving it your best shot! (audience cheers)
Kendall: And I'm Kendall Schmidt. Good night and thanks for watching.
Cast dances around Bob and Anna, credits roll, camera fades out
