Julia Fiona Roberts (born October 28, 1967) is an American actress. She became a Hollywood star after headlining the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), which grossed $464 million worldwide. After receiving Golden Globe Awards and Academy Award nominations for Steel Magnolias (1989) and Pretty Woman, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in for her performance in Erin Brockovich (2000). Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Maksim Aleksandrovich Chmerkovskiy (born January 17, 1980) is a Latin Ballroom dance champion, choreographer, and instructor. He is best known as one of the professional dancers on the American television series Dancing With The Stars, on which he first appeared in season two. He most recently partnered with actress Kirstie Alley. On May 24, they were announced as the runners-up.

Julia's Journey
Almost everyone knew who Roberts was when she was announced as a star. So many viewers were looking forward to her first dance. Her partner Maksim told reporters that "she's promising, but very nervous." Julia admitted that she was indeed nervous, but only because her job doesn't usually require her dancing in front of millions of people on a weekly basis.
In Week 1, Julia and Maksim danced a Foxtrot to "I'm A Woman" by Peggy Lee. The judges liked it, with Judge Elena Grinenko saying Julia showed class and elegance. The judges awarded it with a 28 out of 40 for the night, landing them in fourth place for the night.
In Week 2, Julia and Maksim danced a Jive to "Runaround Sue" by Dion & The Belmonts. The judges loved the dance, with Judge Len Goodman telling Julia she was giving the youngsters a run for their money. They were given 32 points for the night, landing them in fourth place for the night. Julia and Maksim recieved the encore that week for being the most improved.
In Week 3, Julia and Maksim danced a Waltz to "Someone Like You" by Adele. The judges loved the dance, with Judge Carrie Ann Inaba telling them they could win an award for 'Most Improved Couple'. They were given 38 points (also, the first 10's of the season) for the night, landing them in third place for the night.
In Week 4, Julia ditched Maksim to dance a Jive with Ryan Phillippe to "Maneater" by Hall & Oates. Together, they were praised for actually working as a couple and making a very fun Jive. The judges (including reigning champion Sandra Bullock) gave the dance 35 points. When they later danced to a Paso Doble to "Stronger" by Kanye West as part of Team Kendall (Schmidt), the dance went over better. The younger couples all worked powerfully and were fully in sync enough to make the judges (including former winner/host Kendall Schmidt) give it 37 points. They ended the night with 72 out of 80.
In Week 5, Julia and Maksim danced a Rumba to "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. They judges really liked the dance and gave it a 36 out of 40. Julia and Maksim then danced with the other couples left to a Salsa Marathon (with music provided by "Saca Tu Mujer" by Tito Puente). Julia and Maksim were eliminated sixth and in reward, got 6 additional points to their previous score, giving them a total of 42 for the night.
In Week 6 (Disney Week), Julia and Maksim danced an Argentine Tango to "Arabian Nights" by Bruce Adler from Aladdin. The judges mostly loved the dance, giving it a 37 out of 40. Julia and Maksim then danced a Samba to "Under The Sea" by Samuel Wright from the Little Mermaid. The judges liked this dance as well and gave it a 36 out of 40, giving Julia and Maksim a total of 73 out of 80 for the night.
For Week 7, Julia and Maksim danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to "How You Like Me Now" by The Heavy. The judges mostly liked the dance, telling Julia she really let loose and had fun, and gave the dance 38 out 40.
In Week 8 (Christmas Week), Julia and Maksim danced a Foxtrot to "Mr. Grinch" by Thurl Ravencroft. The judges loved the dance, giving it a 38 out of 40. Julia and Maksim then danced a surprise Paso Doble to "Carol of the Bells" by David Foster, which they only had 45 minutes to master. The judges liked this dance just as much and again gave it a 38 out of 40, giving Julia and Maksim a total of 76 out of 80 for the night. On results night, Julia and Maksim became the first couple to recieve a second encore performance from the judges (for their Paso Doble).

The judges were once again impressed and gave the dance a 37 out of 40, giving Julia and Maksim a total of 72 out of 80 for the night.
In Week 10 (The Semi Finals), Julia and Maksim danced a Deja Vu dance to Hayden's Samba from Week 2. They danced to "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas, scoring 37 out of 40 points. They then followed that up with a Quickstep to "Whataya Want From Me" by Adam Lambert, featuring P!nk. That dance scored 38 out of 40, giving Julia and Maksim a total of 75 out of 80 for the night.
During the Finals, Julia and Maksim were part of a Paso Face-off against Hayden and Julianne and Eva and Alec. The song was "The Hardest Ever" by will.i.am, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger. The dance got Julia a 37 out of 40. Julia and Maksim then did their favorite Ballroom dance of the season, the Waltz to "Someone Like You" by Adele. The judges gave it a perfect 40 out of 40.
