Joel Courtney
Joel Courtney (born January 31, 1996) is an American actor. Courtney's breakthrough role came when he played Joseph "Joe" Lamb in the 2011 J. J. Abrams film Super 8. Courtney was born in Monterey, California. He was raised in Moscow, Idaho. Courtney is the youngest of four children. When not filming, Courtney attends middle school in Idaho, studying various subjects including Latin and Logic. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, lacrosse, running cross country and track and has been a competitive swimmer since the age of four. Courtney will play Tom Sawyer in the adaptation of Mark Twain's classic written and to be directed by Jo Kastner. Kastner and Marcus Weinhart are producing the film, scheduled to shoot in August in Bulgaria. He will also join the cast of the supernatural thriller The Healer. In the film, the young actor will play a disgruntled teen who joins his father on a camping trip only to have a run-in with otherworldly forces.
Chelsie Hightower
Chelsie Kay Hightower (born July 21, 1989) is a Latin ballroom dancer, who is best known for being a regular dance partner, trainer, and choreographer on the ABC competition show Dancing with the Stars. At 18, she made her television debut on So You Think You Can Dance. She was eliminated from the U.S. reality TV show on July 31, 2008 along with original dance partner Mark Kanemura. Hightower made an appearance in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Winter 2010 edition (pages 152 and 153) along with three other couples from Dancing with the Stars. On July 8, 2010, Chelsie received an Emmy nomination for the "Paso Doble/Malagueña" dance that she and Derek Hough performed and co-choreographed for Dancing with the Stars Season 10. Hightower has performed with singer/songwriter Jewel (Ty Murray's wife) in concert on Jewel's hit "Hands".

Joel's Journey
Joel Courtney, going into Season 5, was only 15 years old, the same age as Cody Simpson when he was a contestant during the previous season. Many were scared that Joel would wind up being terrible like Simpson, but others feel that the pairing of Joel with Chelsie was a better fit than Cody with Julianne Hough.
In Week 1, Joel and Chelsie danced a Foxtrot to "Like You Do" by Angel Taylor. The judges liked it, with Judge Elena Grinenko saying that Joel was cute. The judges awarded it with a 27 out of 40 for the night, landing them in fifth place for the night.
In Week 2, Joel and Chelsie danced a Samba to "Dancing Crazy" by Miranda Cosgrove. The judges liked the dance, with Judge Len Goodman saying it was a fun carnival dance with some fresh new moves. They were given 30 points for the night, landing them in a tie for seventh place with Gabrielle Giffords.
In Week 3, Joel and Chelsie danced a Waltz to "It Is You" by Dana Glover. The judges mostly liked the dance, with Judge Bruno Tonioli telling him his potential was coming out. They were given 31 points for the night, landing them in a tie for ninth place for the night with Cameron Diaz.
In Week 4, Joel ditched Chelsie to dance a Foxtrot with Emma Stone to "Love Like Woe" by the Ready Set. Together, they were praised for their chemistry and for creating a fun dance. The judges (including former contestant Justin Bieber) gave the dance 35 points. When they later danced to a Paso Doble to "Stronger" by Kanye West as part of Team Kendall (Schmidt), the dance went over better. The younger couples all worked powerfully and were fully in sync enough to make the judges (including former winner/host Kendall Schmidt) give it 37 points. They ended the night with 72 out of 80.
In Week 5, Joel and Chelsie danced a Rumba to "Just Can't Get Enough" by the Black Eyed Peas. They judges liked the dance and gave it a 34 out of 40. Joel and Chelsie then danced with the other couples left to a Salsa Marathon (with music provided by "Saca Tu Mujer" by Tito Puente). Joel and Chelsie were eliminated fifth and in reward, got 5 additional points to their previous score, giving them a total of 39 for the night. The girls in the audience were upset as Joel and Chelsie landed in the bottom-three this week, only to be saved by the eliminations of Ryan Phillippe and Clint Eastwood.
In Week 6 (Disney Week), Joel and Chelsie danced a Quickstep to "One Jump Ahead" by Brad Kane from Aladdin. The judges criticized the dance, giving it a 31 out of 40. Joel and Chelsie then danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to "What Time Is It" from High School Musical 2. The judges loved this dance much more and gave it a 38 out of 40, giving Joel and Chelsie a total of 69 out of 80 for the night. Joel and Chelsie landed in the bottom-two again this week with Denzel Washington, with Joel being eliminated this time.
