Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes (born March 5, 1974) is an American actress. She began acting in the late 1990s, and after a series of minor roles and performances in several smaller films such as Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) and Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000), she broke into the mainstream, appearing in leading roles in Hollywood releases, such as Training Day (2001, co-starring Denzel Washington); 2 Fast 2 Furious, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Stuck on You (all 2003); Hitch (2005); Ghost Rider and We Own the Night (both 2007); The Spirit (2008); Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009, also reuniting with Ghost Rider star Nicolas Cage); The Other Guys and Last Night (both 2010). Mendes was voted as No. 4 in the 2008 edition, and No. 1 in the 2009 edition, of AskMen.com's Top 99 Most Desirable Women. In August 2010, Mendes appeared in a Funny or Die video spoof, selling her "S.E.X. tape". She also sang for the Funny or Die music video "Pimps Don't Cry," a song featured in The Other Guys, released on August 6, 2010.
Alec Mazo
Alec Mazo (born April 5, 1978) is a Russian-born American professional ballroom dancer based in San Francisco. He became known for his participation in the American edition of the reality television series Dancing with the Stars, the first season of which he won with partner Kelly Monaco. He has one brother, Genya, who's also a ballroom dancer and has performed on the Dancing with the Stars tour. Alec Mazo is married to Dancing With The Stars costar and professional dancer Edyta Sliwinska. Mazo appeared in the 1998 movie Dance With Me.

Eva's Journey
Viewers were ecstatic with the casting of Eva Mendes. Preseason, she quickly turned into the most talked about and most looked-forward to star of the season. All of the attention added a good amount of pressure on Mendes and her first dance.
In Week 1, Eva and Alec danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera. The judges loved the dance, with Judge Elena Grinenko calling it hot and sexy! The judges awarded it with a 33 out of 40 for the night, landing them in second place for the night.
In Week 2, Eva and Alec danced a Tango to "Naturally" by Selena Gomez. The judges mostly loved the dance, with Judge Len Goodman calling the dance nice and exciting. They were given 35 points for the night, landing them in second place for the night.
In Week 3, Eva and Alec danced a Paso Doble to "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. The judges mostly liked the dance, with Judge Elena Grinenko calling it a fearless performance. They were given 35 points for the night, landing them in a tie for fifth place for the night with Emma Stone.
In Week 4, Eva ditched Alec to dance a Samba with Hayden Christensen to "Funhouse" by P!nk. Together, they were praised for an excellent job as a team, but the judges gave Eva more credit. The judges (including former contestant Mila Kunis) gave the dance 37 points. When they later danced to a Paso Doble to "Stronger" by Kanye West as part of Team Kendall (Schmidt), the dance went over better. The younger couples all worked powerfully and were fully in sync enough to make the judges (including former winner/host Kendall Schmidt) give it 37 points. They ended the night with 74 out of 80.

Eva and Alec then danced with the other couples left to a Salsa Marathon (with music provided by "Saca Tu Mujer" by Tito Puente). Eva and Alec won the marathon and in reward, got 10 additional points to their previous score, giving them a total of 45 for the night.
In Week 6 (Disney Week), Eva and Alec danced a Foxtrot to "Cruella De Vil" by Bill Lee from 101 Dalmatians. The judges praised the dance, giving it a perfect 40 points. Eva and Alec then danced a Jive to "We Belong Together" by Randy Newman from Toy Story 3. The judges did not like this dance as much and gave it a 37 out of 40, giving Eva and Alec a total of 77 out of 80 for the night.
For Week 7, Eva and Alec danced a Viennese Waltz to "Breathe" by Faith Hill. The judges all really liked the dance, telling Eva she had almost made one of the most memorable Viennese Waltzes in the show's history, and gave it 39 points. Eva and Alec participated in the Salsa 'All-or-nothing' Challenge on Saturday, dancing to "Ain't It Funny" by Jennifer Lopez, who was the musical guest for the night. They scored 39, adding that to their previous score, giving them a total of 78 points for the week.
In Week 8 (Christmas Week), Eva and Alec danced a Samba to "8 Days of Christmas" by Destiny's Child. The judges liked the dance, giving it a 35 out of 40. Eva and Alec then danced a surprise Quickstep to "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney, which they only had 45 minutes to master. The judges liked this dance the same and again gave it a 36 out of 40, giving Eva and Alec a total of 72 out of 80 for the night. On results night, Eva and Alec landed in the bottom-two along with Gabrielle and Tony, who were eliminated in Eva and Alec's favor.

Eva and Alec then danced an Instant Rumba to "Russian Roulette" by Rihanna. The judges were amazed by the dance (calling it the sexiest Rumba ever on the game) and gave the dance a perfect 40 out of 40, giving Eva and Alec a total of 79 out of 80 for the night. Eva received her first encore performance of the season for her Rumba!
In Week 10 (The Semi Finals), Eva and Alec danced a Deja Vu dance to Betty's Foxtrot from Week 3. They danced to "Thank You For Being A Friend" by Andrew Gold, scoring 33 out of 40 points. They then followed that up with a Samba to "Papi" by Jennifer Lopez. That dance scored a perfect 40 out of 40, giving Eva and Alec a total of 73 out of 80 for the night. Sadly, on results night, Eva and Alec found themselves in the bottom-two along with Betty White and Corky Ballas. Betty and Corky were eliminated instead, and Eva was then declared a finalist.
During the Finals, Eva and Alec were part of a Paso Face-off against Hayden and Julianne and Julia and Maksim. The song was "The Hardest Ever" by will.i.am, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger. The dance got Eva a 38 out of 40. Eva and Alec then did their favorite Ballroom dance of the season, the Foxtrot from Disney Week to "Cruella De Vil" by Bill Lee, from 101 Dalmatians. The judges gave it a perfect 40 out of 40. Finally, they danced a Freestyle to "Rain Over Me" by Pitbull, featuring Marc Anthony, a dance in which water rained from the ceiling at the end. The judges amazed by Eva's very creative Freestyle and awarded it a 39 out of 40. Eva and Alec got 117 out of 120 for the night.
